Not as advertised, not even close

You can read for yourself about how fabulous it is to work with a Pella Showroom for installation here:

Letting the Pella® window replacement experts do the work for you is always a great option. The team of experienced installation professionals have been certified and trained to install Pella windows. They strive to deliver a no-mess, no-guess window replacement installation experience, always maintaining the utmost respect for your home and your project’s objectives.

I have no idea what the people sent to my house were striving for. But I do know that what took place at my home was not at all aligned with my project objectives. And there was no respect for my home (or me).

Below is a photo of the debris I picked up in my yard after the final day of installation. And then I spent at least a half hour vacuuming outside with my shop vac to get smaller pieces.

Kind of makes you wonder about the “no-mess” claim.

And more from Pella:

Our team will park where it’s convenient for you, review the installation plan with you before getting to work and keep the work area tidy and secure. We’ll leave your home just as we found it with one exception — the replacement windows you’ve been waiting for will be installed and ready for use. […]

When at last, installation day is finished, there’s really only one thing left to do. Sit back. Relax. And take in the beauty of your replacement windows.

Or… you could find yourself in Pella Hell and spend the next week documenting problems and have your work and life completely disrupted while you attempt to get your money back so that you can hire a competent company to start over and re-replace your windows.

If I ever do get a refund, I will note that on the home page of this website and in the log of events.
